John 6:35 says, “Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” Physical hunger renews itself on repeat as our earthly bodies live out their usefulness; we will eventually be hungry again after even the biggest meal, and no matter how much water we chug, we’ll be thirsty again soon. Only Jesus can satisfy the soul, and nothing else can meet our need for spiritual sustenance in a lasting way.
